Understanding HYPERGLYCEMIA (Diabetes)


In order for our bodies to metabolize glucose properly, we must stay stocked with certain nutrients. Improper metabolism can affect your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. So I will share some key nutrients in their dietary form in hopes that it help us to better understand how to control our blood sugar in the most holistic way.


  • Chromium: is a nutrient that immediately kicks into gear when glucose enters into the blood stream. Therefore the slightest deficiency can upset the bodies tolerances to glucose.Chromium Rich Foods: Brewer's yeast, whole wheat and rye breads, apples, butter, parsnips, cornmeal, potatoes, greens peppers, eggs, beef liver.

Sickness, Drugs, and Prevention



The Human body is a well designed machine, powered by food, fitness, and spiritual enhancements. Prescribed Drugs and over the counter drugs were designed to help with illness, but as time progresses there is more and more information that holds the grim truth about these medications. Many are addictive, leading to death. Many disrupt the natural flow of the systems in the body, and many are not effective at all, only to make viral strains increasingly strong. 

The body has a natural ability to fight off infections, however; I must admit there may be times when the body can use a little push or help to heal itself. Diet, Exercise, and Natural methods are the best treatment for healing and should be the first method of use, but its not...

 Most people want fast relief from every ailment that comes about. Most people seem to overlook the long list negative side effects that many drugs and unhealthy foods have on the body. They also over look the fact most illnesses will leave on it's own with simple rest and a good diet,  the body will expels the sickness and the battle is won. 

However, when taking meds, the digestive system is probably the most affected system since it is used constantly to flush, break down, and expel structures of foods and drugs as it enters in to the body. Today many people have gastrointestinal issues due to continuous medications and exposure to chemicals on and within their foods.

Let's try to take preventative measures to ward off sickness. Prevention is the best prescription you can receive.
Prevention
  • We should try to Keep our Mentalities in Check by Spiritually checking in with our Lord more, after all He is the Boss, and nothing is more deserving of being worshiped except our Lord and none of us is without flaws.
  • Eat to live by making sure that the foods that we are supplying our machines/ bodies with is  proper, clean fuel; Never over fueling your tank. Always flush your system with plenty of water. With these, you will notice a difference in many things like, your skin, your energy, and your weight.
  • Exercise at least 4 times a week for 30 min to 1 hour a day. A brisk walk is sufficient, for many who are not able to walk; seated aerobics, water aerobics, and physical therapy can be a wonderful help.

Triceps Stretch

HOW:
(1)   Stand with feet shoulder width apart.
(2)   Bend the right elbow.
(3)   Place your right hand between your shoulder blades.
(4)   Gently pull the right elbow with the left hand.
(5)   Hold for a count of 10.
(6)   Switch arms and repeat.

"Soul Mates"


When thinking of "Soul mates" we tend to think of them as a male and female whose souls and spirits are so inclined and in tuned to one another that they can't see anything else; well that can be partially true, but I have come to understand that there is so much more to soul mates than we realize.

What I believe

I believe that we can have a few soul mates male or female, but when it comes to a male/female intimate relationship there is only one ultimate soul mate. It's that special, significant person that when we meet them for the first time, we are sooo wow-ed! by them and when they are no longer with us we feel an overwhelming sense of loneliness, loss, sadness, etc.. However; these feelings should not be confused with infatuation.

Friends that are soul mates

Friends who are soul mates which we sometimes call our "best friends" are those people who we can respect their differences, respect their decisions, and the trials of life that they must go through. Even if we dislike the bottom line. Our friends who are soul mates, we tend to understand deeply, sometimes without having to express things verbally.With these types of soul mates we will do what ever we can to help without placing ourselves and others in dangerous situation and those friends understand that and can respect that without persecutions or ill feelings. Most times in life you will only find one or two of these kinds of soul mates. You will truly love them as they will truly love you for the sake of God. These kinds of soul mate last an eternity.

Intimate Soul mates

Intimate soul mates are those people who touch our souls and spirits in ways that they have never been touched. Intimate soul mates do not have to be lovers, however; sometimes the feelings are so strong and intense that a love relationship can easily follow. Your intimate soul mate is one who possess most or all things that you admire, respect, or need in a person. What set the intimate soul mate apart from the rest is "Your Individual Ultimate Need." If your ultimate need is to be shown respect, because this is something you were never really shown, then when you meet that person who has all the general requirements that you desire mixed with "Your Individual Ultimate Need" that's what draws in that overwhelming love and desire for that person. An Intimate soul mate usually possesses what you need naturally, They don't have to try, nor do you have to teach them to be what you need.

I'm Your Soul mate but Your Not Mine

In most case someone will be a soul mate, but the other person won't feel completely the same. I believe that you rarely find two people who feel the same strength when it comes to an Intimate soul mate relationship. It can be very disheartening and very sad. We can all co-exist in Marriages and relationships without love, or some of our needs being met and without our Ultimate soul mate, we can be well content and live long productive lives with out having or meeting our Intimate soul mates, but If we ever were to meet our soul mate or If we knew our soul mate, we would immediately know the difference in the Marriage/Relationship that is of convienance or contentment; as opposed to the Marriage/ Relationship that is with the Ultimate soul mate.

Is My Soul mate Good or Bad for Me

Just because someone is your soul mate, that doesn't make them good for your soul or you good for theirs. In many cases soul mate can be hazardous. Especially if you place them or they place you above all else. Some soul mates are willing to do anything for the person they love even if that means hurting others. Some soul mates are already married to others when they meet which can cause affairs; which in turn, destroy or cause chaos in families; some soul mates relationships have such strong pull that they can loose a sense of focus or self identity. None of these things are healthy for the soul or spirit...I believe that we can not choose who we love, nor does God place in no man two hearts, that's just how things are but, we can use wisdom and our minds to choose what is right and most beneficial for all who are involved and not letting our emotions be our complete guide. Having a soul mate can feel so wonderful, exhilarating, and euphoric but it can also be scary, disheartening, and sad.

     Phobias and obsessions not only affect a person psychologically, but also physically. These types of difficulties range from small fears to overwhelming thoughts that causes hallucinations, perfuse sweating, difficulty breathing, compulsive acts, etc… Most times when the average person thinks of certain controllable fear, it’s usually just a passing thought and nothing comes of it. However; when a person with a phobia thinks of the same fears, their psyche seems to escalate the fear, making it difficult for the person to live comfortable in or around certain circumstances.
     “Friedman (1959) stated that, “A phobia is a fear that becomes attached to objects or situations, which objectively are not a danger or a source of danger.” Although, I realize that there are quite a few unreasonable seeming phobias that plague people, I disagreed with Friedman, as did A.T. Beck, author of "Cognitive Therapy and Emotional Disorders". Dr. Beck stated that when examining the contents of the phobias, He realizes that the fear is rarely bizarre or irrational because most phobias do have some undeniable risk and many of these phobias stem from childhood fears.

"Chocolate Lip Gloss Recipe"


Most of us L-O-O-O-V-E Chocolate! But, not many of us have the will power to eat it in moderation. Chocolate is great tasting and soooooo addictive! which becomes a big problem with our health. Like many foods, chocolate can be harmful to our health if we consistently over indulge, but on the other hand it can have some wonderful benefits when used and eaten in moderation.

So for us who have a chocolate addiction or can not have the caffeine, Here is the next best thing..."Chocolate Lip Gloss"


Chocolate Lip Gloss Recipe:

(TRIED and TRUE)
11/2 teaspoons of  grated Coco butter
1/2 tsp of coconut oil
1/8 tsp of Vitamin E oil (I used Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
1/4 tsp of Grated Chocolate or 3 small chocolate chips
Method:
(1) In a double broiler or in the Microwave oven, heat the coco butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E oil gently until melted.
(2) Stir in chocolate and keep stirring until melted and well blended.
(3) Pour into a small 1/2 ounce  lip gloss container and allow to cool completely.
