*HENNA* "The Beautiful Healer"



“Whenever somebody came to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with complaints of headache, he directed him to undergo cupping and whosoever complained of pain in legs, was advised to apply Henna.” (Bukhari, Abu Dawood)

(HEALING AILMENTS)
(1) Henna contains very good healing properties. If Mehndi leaves are soaked in water throughout the night and this decanted water, if taken in morning for 40 days, is effective healing Jaundice and Splenomegaly (Enlarged Spleen). Also in leprosy and healing the wounds; there is medicine in the leaves.


  • Expulsion of fluids from the wounds.
  • Cessation of production of any more fluids.
  • Formation of healthy flesh (granulation tissue) to fill the gap.


(2) Hafiz Ibu al Qayyim in the light of his experiences describes it a good healing agent for

  • Burns.
  • Stomatitis
  • All ulcers of tongue, cheeks, and lips.
  • Its local application has soothing effects on acute inflammations
  • Hot abscesses.


(3)Henna levels extract in oil mixed with natural wax and oil of rose, if applied locally in conditions of backache, is highly effective.


(4) It is a clinically tested fact that if Mehndi leaves paste is applied on the soles of the patients of small pox and chicken pox, the eyes remain unaffected with the disease and besides become dry very soon.


(5)Dry leaves of Henna if kept in clothes, serve the purpose of insect repellent.



(6) If the paste of Henna is applied on...


  • Nails, the luster of the nails increases.


  •  Feet and soles, Henna is effective in burning feet syndrome.


  •  If the nails become disfigured after getting fungal infection, it is advisable to use henna with vinegar to restore it to normality .


  • The paste of Henna is very effective in burns and scalds. It heals the boils of scalp if applied with Roghan-e-Zaitoon (Olive Oil)


  • Oil prepared from olive oil and leaves of Henna is very much effective in muscular rigidity.
(7) Henna Gives Hair a more polished look.

"FRESH ALMONDS"



This is the first time I have ever tasted Fresh Green Almonds, I found these yesterday at the halal Market in Dearborn Heights. I was looking at them and a older gentleman said, "Try One... Go ahead and Try one" I was pretty curious so I tried one and it was pretty cool! waaaay different from what I expected. They didn't taste like an almond at all. It was more like eating a bitter red plum or a really firm crunchy peach(which I like.)


So the older man told me how he enjoyed them at home...He said, "When you get home put a little salt in your palm and dip the almond in the salt....DELICIOUS!


Well I tried them that way too! and He was Right, they were very tasty... but, to reserve my good health, My Lord has blessed me with. I choose to eat them without the raw salt.



Health Information on Almonds:

Almonds had been considered too fatty to be a healthy snack, but research has shown that the nuts actually lower blood cholesterol levels. 90 percent of the fats in almonds are unsaturated, and the nuts are high in protein, fiber, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin E, and other antioxidants. Almonds help prevent osteoporosis and they regulate blood pressure.

Baking soda is an age old use for many things, from whitening teeth to getting rid of odors. But did you also know it was good for smoothing your skin...

No matter what your skin type, baking soda is the perfect exfoliate. It has a neutral PH level, so it won't over dry your face as it cleans away the dead skin cells.

"Method"


(1) sprinkle some baking soda in your palm.


(2) Add a few drops of water to make a paste.


(3)Using your finger tips , lightly massage over your skin


(4) Rinse and enjoy the softness.

"AVOID BACK PAIN IN 5 SIMPLE WAYS"




(1) LOOSE THE HIGH HEELS:

(a)High Heels increase degenerative disk disease in the lower back.

(b)High Heels compress and damage the lumbar spine.

(c)High Heels increase osteoarthritis


(2)LET THE FEET POINT THE WAY:

Just like wheels on a car point forward so should the your feet. Practice walking straight by lining up the outside of your feet with the straight edge of a carpet or tile and walk along it for practice.


(3) STRETCH YOUR CALVES:

(a) Tight calves are major contributors to back pain, the tighter the lower leg the the more the upper back whips forward and contributes to curling of the spine.

(b) Add a daily calf stretch to your exercise routine helps to better align the spine.


(4) DO THE TWIST:

(a)Each vertebra in the spine can not only, bend forward, backwards, and side to side but it also rotates. In our culture the twisting the torso is the least used, although twisting is as natural as all other motions.

(b) Incorporate spinal twisting into your exercise routine.


(5) GET THOSE GLUTES IN SHAPE:

(a) The major culprit of back pain is weak gluteal muscles.

(b) Gluteal muscles stabilizes the tailbone.

(c) Glutes helps support the function of the lower back muscles (If the glutes are weak, the low back muscles have to work harder than normal, which makes them fatigue and sore.)

(d) Squats works well to strenghten the glutes.

"Summer Fruit Salad"


Recipe:

(1) "BE CREATIVE WITH YOUR FAVORITE FRUITS & VEGGIES"

(2) "SERVE"

"Back to the Basics" Almond-Chocolate Chip Bread

Working smarter doesn't mean costly or unhealthy eating ... You Let the bread machine do the work, and you get the benefits of no preservatives, overloaded sugars, and chemicals...Just wholesome Goodness!
Ingredients for 1.5 Loaf 12 slices:
 1 cup plus 2 tbsp of Water
 2 tbsps Olive Oil 
 1/2 tsp Vanilla
 3 cups Bread Flour
 3/4 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
 3 tbsps Sugar or honey (I mostly use honey) 
 3/4 tsp Salt 
 1 1/2 tsp Yeast (fast acting)
 1/3 cup Sliced Almonds
Method:
(1) Measure Carefully, placing all ingredients except almonds in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer booklet.
(2) Add Almonds in at the Raisin/Nut signal or 5 to 10 minutes before the last kneading cycle ends
(3) Use Medium or Light crust color 
(4) Select sweet or Basic White cycle, (Do Not use delay cycles) 
(5) Remove bake bread from bread machine pan and cool on wire rack.
