"COLOR THERAPY"

"CoLoR mE hApPy"

For All of us who love the effects of Natural Healing... Here is some information you may find useful on Color Healing. Everyone is affected by colors, often more than they realize.

 Color is intimately tied to all aspects of our life, especially to its visual aspects. It permeates our language, our culture and our health. We use colors to describe our physical well-being, our emotions, our attitudes, and our spiritual experiences.

 There are some colors we like more than others and there are some we do not like at all. Instinctively we are drawn to the colors that we most need at any particular time. Color can be used to alter our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual conditions.

On those days you feel a little less spirited, try wearing something colorful and brighten your home by opening windows and/or curtains for natural light.

In the winter, try drinking a nice fruity or spicy hot tea or cider.
In the Summer, try drinking a cup homemade  lemon aid,  fresh squeezed orange juice, apple juice, etc... Not only will the smell liven you up, but so will the association of colors!

"Astragalus"

Astragalus Is good for low immunity due to diseases such as cancer, fibromyalgia, stress, chronic fatigue syndrome, and poor appetite. It has been used in traditional medicine to treat shortness of breath, weakness, colds, flu, night sweats, respiratory disease, lingering diarrhea, uterine and rectal prolapsed, boils, and sores. It only grows in Asia and is generally regarded as safe.

Research was done on 19 cancer patients and 15 healthy people at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. A special prepare extract was given to each participant. The research concluded that Astragalus contained a potent immune stimulant that restored the immune systems function in the majority of the cancer patients.

*Astragalus seemed to key in on:

  1. Bone marrow where the formation of immune cells takes place.
  2. Polysaccharides; which are compounds that stimulate the white blood cells production.
  3. Increase the activity of killer T cells which are the body’s natural defenders that hunt and destroy abnormal invaders.
  4. Increasing the production of Interferon, A natural protein. This Protein allows for cells to thicken, building a wall, so that viruses have a harder time getting in.

"10 Tips For Healthy Skin Care"

Fact:
"Your Skin is the largest ORGAN of your body" and just like any other organ in the body we must take special care of it. Finding a wrinkle, pimple, or blemish can be an eye sore for most people. However there are may causes... some are in our control, some are are not but I will leave you to decide...However here are a few things that effects your skin.  Stress, Medicines, Un Natural Skin Care Products, Smoking, Drinking, Poor Diet, Mistreatment To The Skin, Too Much Sun, Dry Un-moisturized Skin, Hormones, and the list goes on...There are some "NATURAL REMEDIES" you can use to Undo some of the damage.
"NATURAL SKIN CARE FOR WRINKLES OR DAMAGED SKIN"
(1) Stop: any thing that is causing skin damage like, those from my list above.
(2) Water: is a must (just like any other organ in the body, The skin needs flushing constantly with Good Ole' H2O.
(3) Antioxidants: Start with the most common Antioxidants...Vitamin E, C, and Beta-Carotene. These three fight free radicals in the body and prevent cell damage caused by medications, the sun, stress, etc...
(4)Vitamin A: is an Excellent healer of damaged Skin.
(5) Vitamin C: may be the the most important because not only is it an antioxidant, but it's also essential for developing connective tissues.
(6)Collagen: bind cells together. It maintains the integrity and firmness of the skin; which in turn, means less wrinkles.
(7) Selenium which is a trace mineral that is ultra effective to riding free radicals caused by sun damage. (I suggest you take a multivitamin with selenium in it; less than 100 mg, or consult with your Natural Health Practitioner) because the dose that's right for you just depends on how much of this mineral you are already storing in the body and/or getting in your diet. How much you're getting also depends on the region in which you live and how much of the local produce you are eating; "selenium is in the soil"... so you may want to do some research.
(8) Hormones. Hormone does so much, they can make you look and feel more youthful or they can make you feel and look older. The key is to keep balanced hormones; and the way to that, is to try and balance them "NATURALLY" with soy, legumes, and tofu. These foods have what is called phytoestrogens (plant compounds) that mimic the female biological/hormonal system.
(9)Fatty Acids. Fatty Acids are not made in the body, but you get them from foods like eggs, nuts, veggies, butter, and whole milk. You can also take a supplement of either flaxseed oil or evening primrose, if you are vegetarian or vegan.
(10)Good ole Fashion R and R (Rest and Relaxation). Too much hanging out, partying, pulling all nighters, will definitely have an effect on all the organs including the skin.

(Before beginning any workout regime, consult with your physician.)

Hourglass Female Body Shape
::Shapely upper and Shapely lower::

~~~~ WORKOUT DO'S~~~~If you have an Hourglass female body shape, your muscles bulk up faster, so do NOT add weights to your exercising routine until you loose body fat.Favor: impact sports that require high speed and low to medium resistance that involve both upper and lower body.
Isolated exercises: L-kicks, leg-outs, leg curls & lifts, vertical scissors, arms push-outs, biceps curls, triceps kickbacks, upright rows, front & behind-the-neck presses - all at high reps (30-50 repetitions for each exercise.)
Whole-body workouts: long-distance swimming (crawl stroke only), jumping rope, 5 tibetan rites, fast walking with no incline, skiing, stationary biking (low resistance).
~~~~WORKOUT DON'TS~~~~Avoid: jogging, roller-blading, step classes, walking on an incline, kick-boxing, spinning, and high-impact aerobics.

♥ WORKOUT FOR YOUR BODY TYPE ♥ (Spoon)

(Before beginning any workout regime, consult with your physician.)
Spoon Female Body Shape.
::Smaller upper and Shapely lower::.
